How to make a perfect salad
If you had a similar childhood to mine, the word “salad” was an annoying word. Mostly because salads were boring and tasteless. Large piles of lettuce with some tomatoes and vinaigrette... Yuk! But as I grew up and began to cook for myself I learned the art of salad making. Making sexy salads has now become a past time, as I crave a big salad almost every day!
Ingredients:
• 2 cups black beans
• 2 flax eggs
• 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
• 2 flax eggs
• 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
• 1 cup cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup coconut sugar
Directions
• Put the lettuce in a large bowl first, make sure it is washed
• Cut all the different kinds of veggies and arrange them in a pretty pattern.
• Throw some protein on there like salon or black beans.
• Try to add some healthy fats like 1/2 of an avocado, seeds or nuts.
• I liked to add in additional spices like garlic powder and chili flakes.
• Salad Dressings: When it comes to your salad dressing, I say make your own. It’s much easier and not filled with all the fat and oil content you are finding in store-bought dressings. Some easy dressings ideas are:
Tahini + lemon mixed together.
White wine vinegar + mustard + honey
2 limes + coconut aminos sauce + chilli flakes
